The ROSSIO Periods vocabulary comprises names of temporal periods, including geological eras and historical, cultural and art periods, for knowledge organisation and information retrieval in the ROSSIO platform.
The construction of the Periods vocabulary is based on other thesauri and reference works such as PeriodO and the Getty Institute's “Art and Architecture Thesaurus”.
ROSSIO Periods is part of the ROSSIO vocabularies, which includes vocabularies of topics in social sciences, arts and humanities (ROSSIO Thesaurus), people and organisations (ROSSIO Agents) and toponyms (ROSSIO Places).
