- The Gagauz language (Gagauz dili) is a Turkic language spoken by the Gagauz people and the official language of the autonomous Moldovan region of Gagauzia. Gagauz has two dialects: Bulgar Gagauzi and Maritime Gagauzi. It should be noted that Gagauz is classified as a distinctly different language than Balkan Gagauz Turkish.
