- Western Panjabi ("Punjabi" ) is an Indo-Aryan language and is referred to specify the Punjabi language spoken and written in Punjab, Pakistan. Even though it is the mother tongue of the largest group of the people of Pakistan, the language has no official status nor is it used as medium of education at any level.
